melons? yes, please!
In desperation, I cleared three small patches from the mound of black dirt in our front yard a few days ago. Some weeds were left as decoys . . . with hopes of being able to fool the rabbits and deer–because there is no barrier to keep them away. These are Emerald Gem melons. Here is a pic on the first day I noticed them. It has been six days since I planted them.
